Today, it’s common for us to only listen to music rather than create it ourselves. But actively making music is so important for children’s music and overall development! That’s why we offer fun, developmentally-appropriate classes that allow children to actively explore music through meaningful interaction with the grownups they love. Come make music with us!
Our Music Together® Classes:
Babies Classes - You don’t have to know how to walk or talk to enjoy a song! Our Babies Class is for parents or caregivers with newborns eight months and younger.
Mixed Age Classes - This playful, musically-rich class will get you and your child singing, dancing and making music together in an environment that’s relaxed and fun. From ages 0 to 4 with a parent or caregiver.
Generations Classes - These unique classes take place in a retirement community and allow you and your child to experience the deep connections that music can create between young and old. For children ages 0 to 4 with a parent or caregiver.
Rhythm Kids™ - An exciting new music, movement, and drumming class for children ages 4 -5, and 5-8 (K-2nd Grade). A great next step for young children on their musical journey!
About Music Together®
Music Together is an internationally recognized music program for children from birth through age 8—and the grownups who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, Music Together has been a pioneer in the field of early childhood music with truly innovative, high-quality music education and outreach programs.
At the core of the Music Together approach is the idea that young children learn best from the powerful role models of parents/caregivers who are actively making music. Parents and caregivers join their children to share in songs, instrument play, rhythm chants and movement activities in a non-performance oriented, relaxed, playful setting.
In every 10-week semester we explore a new, multi-cultural musical genre-joining other families weekly in 45-minute sessions. In each of our classes families receive take home materials (CD, Songbook and Parent/Caregivers Guide), and access to the online Family Music Zone filled with activities to continue the music making at home.
